Turtle Shell Tortue was established in the fall of 1999, to care for turtles, install highway turtle crossing signs, and to provide public education and awareness of the plight of indigenous turtle populations and habitats in Ontario.
Three different layouts were proposed, and a simple 5-page website was created to capture the essence of the selected design. The photo gallery includes the original inspiration for the design – affectionately named – the “before” photo.
